Full-length naturalistic portraits of two girls representing the Antiope and Melanipan Amazons. The weapons linked to the Amazon are replaced by the concepts of "writing" and "reading", as the means by which the Amazons must defend their ideals and their position as heirs of the queen. Models of these paintings are José Carlos's 7 year old own children.
